Lucas Gomes a.k.a. Golucas (1994) is a visual artist and designer born and raised in Baixada Fluminense who now lives in central São Paulo. He holds a degree in Visual Communication from the Escola de Belas Artes at UFRJ.
Lucas works on a pictorial research centered on 'transfuge de classe', social mobility, and urban displacement. This investigation unfolds in compositions of figures and colors as expressions of ambiguities, such as belonging and inadequacy, loss and relief, the popular and the exclusive.
This same belief shapes his work as a communication designer, transforming complex data into clear visual narratives through information design, data visualization, and scalable graphic systems.
